inside view of a unit bearing
cut apart a ABS type hub this one came of an 02 , if you put grease in through the abs hole both bearings will get grease , now i must find a non ABS hub and disect it , cant find any good pics on net

Look up www/courtsara.com. There is a write up on greasing unit bearings. IIRC, he put about 30-35 pumps of grease in. That is what I put in my 2002. I pumped it in through the ABS hole when I was doing the brakes. The bearing was kind of tight for awhile, but it loosened up after driving it a bit.

wonder if the abs bearings are the same as non abs ? When my 98 go I would like to put an abs on it just for greasing , instead of tapping a non abs . no worries of getting metal filings in there then , and just find a bolt to plug abs hole.
