Tailgate fail

So, went to open my tailgate and the right side hinge was gone!
Would one of you fine people mind measuring the diameter and length of the pipe that the tailgate hinges on so that I can make a replacement?
Really stinks not having that hinge point and makes for a unwelcome "Santa's trap door" if I forget and step over there!

Thanks very much. I know it's a bit of a pain to pull the tailgate, and I really appreciate it!

Mine broke off too. I found it wedged down in the fender. Worth taking a look.
