I like that idea of an Trans Pan you mentioned. And an electric fan augmented tranny cooler, along with that. Those two and plus engine temp, engine pressure, tranny temp, and EGT gauges I have at least have a shot at installing these by myself. If I'll ever need someone to perform a tranny rebuild, I'd look into a slightly lower stall speed TC as part of the rebuild. A little spendy but perhaps an intercooler might consider, too.

Negative. The Intercoooler is a separate unit from the radiator. However, the radiator used on I/C models is a larger unit. Larger fluid capacity generally means better cooling. There are aftermarket intercoolers available, but I think you'd just be better suited to find a larger radiator. Maybe even order a mishimoto radiator (I hope that is correct). One guy on here runs one and loves it.

Well, I've got a trans cooler I can sell you cheap.
I put in the bigger pan, and was going to add trans cooler.
The cooler is still in the box (i've been trying to sell it on cL) since I rarely see temps above 140 anymore.
Even when towing. The added capicty and the cooling fins that allow the air to pass through really work. I was skeptical, but it's really good at cooling.
The only time the temp gets above that is if my back up skills haven't been used in a while, or if someone is watching, since reverse shoots up the temps. But you might know that.
