Blame Canada....

Oh, good grief....
This buisness of blaming Canadians is getting old.
Were now responsible for the new ford truck recall.

http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/news...8sdrecall.html

Jarvis emphasized that in order for the phenomenon to happen, something in the engine has to be leaking. At least one of the cases was caused by, "a driver in Canada who might not have let the engine warm up when it was about 20-degrees below zero, causing a crack in the turbocharger."

I thought Ford tested these things up there for a really long time?

So the truck needs to be up to temp before you're allowed to drive it in the winter time? Thats great, considering some cities are adopting by-laws that require you to shut the vehicle off after 3 minutes of idle time. I used to love my Fords, but I'm quite happy I jumped that ship.

The only thing they didn't do was hand it over to a Canadian.....

Apparently we're the only ones that can find innovative ways of screwing things up.

Ford's problem lies way back in the mid 80's when the B series engine came out. Ford went to another engine producer, and thus the beginning of a great relationship with Cummins and Dodge arose.
