Holmenator lets give it a try..........

say we get one of these......build a chassis around it. put a seat between the turbos. 16v2000 MTU its not THAT heavy and we could plonk it up to 2500-3000hp.

Then take it down the strip

What size NOS tank should we get? I wonder what class we would run in?

I do like the way that engine looks, sitting in a rail (dragster) I would if a power glide would take the abuse that our right foot would dish out.

I was talking to my buddy down here in Chicago, he has a friend that has a rail 5.9LIts for sale at $27k. Run 7's

hey, i'm working on a shovel right now with twin V-16's with twin turbos like that one and yup, rated at 3000HP each. The shovel is an "8000 Hitachi", and sound badass when they power up.
Cheers!

Kev, I was told that it doesn't have the typical skinny tires on the front, if that helps. I never got the fella name on the rail. My buddy, didn't have too much info besides it was a rail/5.9L engine combo and ran 7's

You would need a huge rear ratio.. Somthing about 1800 rpm is pretty hard to get down the track... The torque would be good... I estimate 7300 ft-lbs..

3.55's would be fine, just don't install a tranny. Direct drive FTW!
