Looks like he was in 2007-2009 vintage Kenworth(I assume by the cooled tips on the stacks). Looks like that guy a load of excel beef going to be made into hamburger.

Glad you're ok! At least you have your wallet... you can buy new underwear!

That whole thing could have turned out a lot worse. Thank God one of you can think!

This is yet another reason I will NOT drive in that kind of weather. There isn't one thing in the world that is worth all that aggravation, not to mention someone's life. And all because some moron who's supposed to be a 'professional driver' couldn't figure out that snowy/rainy, below freezing weather combined with a shiny pavement that most likely wasn't producing any tire spray, means the road is ICE! As a cop, these instances were the only time I can honestly say I enjoyed writing citations and pressing charges.

There was an electrical transformer on the trailer, it weighs 45000 lbs, and buddy hit it so hard that it landed 75' from my trailer, and it never touched the ground once in between, I'm no engineer but I'm sure it takes a lot of force to move something that heavy that far...

The western star is at home in the shop, it was too heavy to scale the load so I agreed to take one of our tandem kw's for the trip, we were heading for Tacoma Washington.

As near as I could tell there was no damage to the trailer, the truck I am not sure, the driver side mirror is half inside the cab, and the whole cab is leaning to the passenger side some. Waiting to find out where it is right now so I can go get my stuff.

When I left north bay yesterday morning roads were clear and wet, about 30-40 mins into the drive I told my lead escort I needed to find a place to park as I could feel the road getting slippery, and 45 minutes into the drive I started into a corner and my escort told me there was a truck out of control. It all went down hill from tgere

The transformer should have been shipped with an accelerometer. See if you can find out how many G's it registered.

No accelerometer on these ones, the big ones we haul always have 3 on them.

The truck that hit me has satellite tracking, I'll be interested to hear how fast he was travelling,

Glad you're all still on the green side of the lawn, and it was a loaner rig.
That was a serious mess.
Has the doctor found the seat cover from your truck yet?
