Happy Labor Day all y'all and you 'uns. I keep hearing about heat warning for southern Ontario and a bunch of other places out east. Not so much here against the Rockies north of the 49th parallel. It has been cold and rainy since Friday morning. In fact it made it down to 0.1C on Saturday night and we have a frost warning for this evening. I guess I will be putting blankets over the squash plants. The rain has stopped and is supposed to stay stopped for a while. I hope so, the local farmers need to get back to the harvest and DW and I have a lot of spuds to dig.

Have a safe day and see you all this evening.

I made an extra $100 today! Actually, the Bride wanted to go for a ride in the Magnum. Took her to a high falutin' restaurant in town. Huddle House. If you don't know it, it's like a Waffle House. Were is the extra $100 coming from? I didn't need a towtruck today!

Still have #1 cylinder dropping out once and awhile. Not so bad as it was before valve seals, but I guess if it keeps up, off goes it's heads. After sitting 20+ years before I got it, I guess that's ok.

JT, Thanks for doing a 'welfare check' on the ghost town breakroom.......

it's 97 out there. Today is the first day I did not service my own truck.
like a right of passage every September....I told everyone at the dealership I love them.... must be the heat.

Wow, quiet day around here today. Just got in from the restaurant - -took my lady out for her birthday dinner. Sat there talking and looking at her and saying thanks that we found each other. Wow, what a lady. I am so fortunate - - great wife, marvelous mother and grandmother - - I did good. ...................................Still wonder where all the years went. Found this pretty little blonde in college, married her, three wonderful children - - and now they had little ones - - and this all started about 4 or 5 years ago - - - well, maybe 7 or 8. Couldn't be much more than that - - could it??????

Let me go back with her and enjoy the moment. Just wanted to say hi, grab a ph00 and get back. Y'all be good.

Bob

Good morning. echo echo echo. Hmmmmmm. Let's try that again. GOOD MORNING FROM PARADISE. Louder echo. Woke up the dragon and now he/she/it is hissing at me. Where is everybody?

Probably a wasted effort, but coffee and ph00 is ready.

HappyBob, congrats on finding such a good woman and persuading her to stay with you for all those years.

Busy day ahead of me, so am up early to get a head start. Staying home for a change and working from here.

Hope all of you lazy bums have an enjoyable, productive day. Heidi, you can take the day off and laze in the sun. Probably will be too hot to work anyway.

Wonderful day wrapping up things at work for first "compliance" audit in 12 years. No idea what to expect. Corporate memory and paper files don't go back far enough. Thought I was in pretty good shape until I checked records kept by a couple "Supv". I have to work magic before 1300 tomorrow. I'm thinking a stern "fella's, this is how you do it" talk is in the making.

On a good note, we got a free supply of coffee today at work. It might be enough to last a month or so. Yea me! (and it even has Ph00 if you want to stop by the breakroom!)

Here in KY, we have more wolf spiders around the house than I've ever seen. Squirrels are everywhere packing in the nuts. The older guys I've talked to agree. We may be facing a whopper of a winter. Some of the oaks are turning but it might be from being dry.

I'm kinda second guessing not having a 4x4 now. I wonder how AWD in a SHO will hold up???
