Wow Scotty ...that's just crazy. The guy was more than likely under the influence of something not to see a friggin' bus. Glad it turned out ok for you all.
Mid week already. Man, these days are starting to fly by. Didn't seem to go this fast at any other point in my life ....especially not during the loooong trips across the pond on a very slow ship. Guess it's like they say "Life is like a roll of toilet paper ...the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes".
Guess that just means we all need to get off our butts and get out there to enjoy the time the good Lord has given to us !!
Cheers,
PISTOL

Glad you got to tell the story Scotty, that sounds like some trip.
Makes me appreciate my job, where I donīt have to drive very far, and there is just about no trafic.
Kid is better, at least he watches TV now, guess thatīs a step up from yesterday .
Iīm going to unhook the pelletburner, WINTER IS NOW OFFICIALLY OVER, switching to wastewood to heat the Water.
I put some fresh coffee on, and phoo too, there was some donuts somewhere but I donīt know what happened to them...(burp).

Sorry about the shove in the ditch there Scotty.....I wanted to get back in my own lane but all that horn blowing just made it all that much harder for me to concentrate on finishing up my text message on my cell phone.....once I got that done I was able to change the channel on my dash mounted TV and settle in for a movie.....
Just glad you are OK little buckaroo

Thought I would drop in and say hello. I hope you guys are having a good week. About time to get myself ready for work now. Took the truck and camper to a 5 day training last week and the truck is still awesome, although dirty.
It IS a work truck after all.

Folks I had a very scary incident today. I drive tour bus part time and took a trip today...right into a brutal snowstorm with zero visibility high winds and ice...wasn't like that way when I left.
That's not the scary part. I picked up the crew a couple hrs from the city...taking them to the airport. I pulled out to pass a semi...I was doing 55 mph...well below the speed limit...freeway was wet but clear. Semi started over into the passing lane. No signal...didn't look. I hit the air horns and he wouldn't look...kept moving over...crashed into us as my left wheels hit the mud and snow in the center median. He kept coming! Hit the bus...still didn't look...continued pushing the bus sideways while I fought by steering into him. The left wheels were sliding into the snow and mud while the bus started tipping. This 'trucker' then took off! I was still fighting not to lose the bus and my passengers. Steering was cranked to the right and I kept my foot on the throttle. The front right wheel caught pavement and I got us back up on the road. The plate on the semi was covered in ice/ mud and there where no signs on the doors. The semi behind and one in front witnessed it all and stopped to give me their info.
We called the rcmp and never saw one nor have they called us.
Seems surreal. Nobody hurt...bus took a hit...did what I could...thanking my Higher Power.

NE..... Just had an arm roast the other day. Recognized the bone in it as a cross cut out of the shoulder blade.
Scotty, you can drive my bus any day. Takes tremendous gonads coupled with a lot of experience to apply full throttle and steering just right to recover from something like that.
Been lookin' for a decent lawn tractor with rototiller all winter. One went up on Craig's list at 3PM yesterday, and I bought it at 5:30. JD 216 with dual hydraulics and a JD tiller for less than a grand. Not pretty, but fully functional. Makes my Crapsman tractors feel like toys.
Had to drive through a record setting May snowstorm twice today to get it. It was 200 miles south of me, and there's a narrow heavy snowstorm going on between here and there caused by a freak combination of jet stream and cold front. Cold and party cloudy here, warm and partly cloudy where the tractor was in La Crescent.

Thanks J and others.
Today I feel hungover and grateful.
Thankful for my skills and my Guardian Angel.
Throttling down and steering into the force was automatic.
