How thick is the tubing on that header? Does the header support the turbo or is there a bracket for that?

I would assume by this comment that he did have it in the same port as before. Otherwise he wouldn't have known it was the hottest cyl.

The pyro bung was on #6 on the test vehicle as well. Im not sure where they are on an ATS but most of our headers are run on #6.

I'm sure that there are those that will laugh at this price, I for one know what it's like to work with stainless, not too much trouble but still, this is a great price. I'll take one !

installed the overkill
Some notes and pics for those interested. This job took me and a friend 3 hours to do. Release boot, oil return, and exhaust from turbo. You will have to purchase some new metric bolts to mount the header to the head. Cyl. numbers 1 thru 6 on the bottom and 1 and 6 on the top will get the new bolts, shorter, I chose stainless socket head. 2 thru 5 on the top row will require studs for the tight fit won't allow bolts, so we took the nuts off of the turbo to manifold joint and used them on the studs. We took allthread cut to length, used locktite red and installed. Header to the turbo, we used 3/8 stainless socket head bolts on the right side, had to make studs on the left because of the tight fit. Install exh. probe as the manifold is going in. Weld quality good, will keep an eye out for movement and cracking. The header fit to the head great, easy. Put on your liquid wrench at home when you shut if off for the night, it helped. Have not got the chance to run it a few times yet. Upon crusing home on surface streets the engine seemed to be putting out a little more smoke than usual upon lockup in third, overdrive locked out. Overall for the install I'm pleased. Note, this 95 12V has 206,000 on it and I keep it clean, sure is nice workin in clean !

I've ran this now for a couple days and it provides an astonishing amount of better air flow, very very noticeable. Now I'm headed towards turbo upgrading and 3000 GSK.

Theorectically, improved flow in the header means faster turbo spool and a faster turbo means more boost. Would love to see the drive pressure numbers to go with the boost numbers.
