Hey Happy, T-Rad, DMax, or anyone with a 3rd gen truck take a look through this thread https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=118749 , and see if one or more of you can try this out to help me with my top speed problem.
If this works, and I can rev and fuel to 35-3600rpm's I won't have to worry too much with the M&H Racemaster in 29.5x14.5R17 as being too short.

John, I've been watching this thread and can't really say anything for sure. The idea of changing tire size might work with the speed limiter but the rpms will still be there. ??? Happy's probably hiding out right now. We've been beating on him pretty hard today. If you want a smile check out "Help, I've been invaded".

You know you could have just left the truck here for remote testing while you were gone. I've got a climate controlled parking pad where the old girl would have been quite comfortable for an extended stay. You could have sent your requests via DTR and I could have done the tests for you.

Man John, got your PM....I guess I will have to wait to get the tranny done till osme other time....Unless I go with a TC and a VB...Then when money permits, move up to getting a full trans doen and let Dave use my TC and VB that I have already bought from him...I will have to think about it...
I am so glad that all of you guys are having a good laugh at my invasion thread, guess I am good for something...

Slowpoker, Call me again. I missed a couple of calls I see. I was mowing my parents yard earlier cause they left out of town today and it looked like the Amazon rain forrest and the second time you called I was working on that stupid shower faucet that we installed!!! No leaks and it wasnt the valve itself, the screen on the head got some pieces of the head seal stuck in it and was resticting the water flow. No big deal!
What do you guys think about say, a regular cab 4x4 dually with two 4" slant cut stacks in it? I dont know why, but they are growing on me fast! So who thinks too redneck, and who thinks it would look cool? I want to stick with 4" so it will look proportional to the truck. I think the 5" are a little too big but I guess its all personal opinion. What do yall think??? Let me know something so I can start building them or walk off with my head hung low kicking my feet cause all the other kids dont think I am cool

I say 5", cause 4" will look kinda small at a span like that...I am thinking 5" for my own, but gotta get some things paid for first.
Maybe after income taxes this winter....
