What is In Your Truck?
What is In Your Truck?
Well there have been a few threads about various questions that help us know a little more about each other. Here is one that may prove interesting..."what is in your truck?" What is in your cab at this moment? Be honest...tell all. I have to warn you, I just about live in my truck, so its a disaster.
-Headliner. Nope, not up top...behind the seat. i bought it in June just after putting the truck on the road, and haven't had a chance to put it in yet.
-Bottles. I'm a sugar addict, especially Coke, and I get dehydrated easily. I have several empty water and coke bottles rolling around on the floor, and under the seat.
-Several tools. Some useful for the truck, some just because they got left there and I haven't cleaned out the truck in a while...well, since I put it on the road in june. included are several sockets, a couple for the track bar since I have to replace it so often. 1 snap-on breaker bar, a couple of ratchets, various wrenches, pliers, etc.
-In my console I have a small spool of wire left from working on the Mystery Switch. I also have a couple extra relays and fuses, and switches. Not installed...just tossed in there.
-I think i have a jacket behind the seat...not 100% sure though. Maybe a sweat shirt as well.
-A couple tie-down straps and bungee cords.
-Half a can of Acetone left from when i herculined my rockers.
-Most likely a couple bucks worth of change under the seat and floormats.
I think that about covers it. Of course there is also the typical vehicle trash...i think there are several empty Slim-Jim wrappers, a couple 'tater chip bags, etc. Not to mention that my new carpet is covered in enough New England dirt that I can barely see my floormats.
This is depressing...I think maybe I'll clean my truck this weekend.

Last time I checked there was 50' of rope,25' of REALLY BIG CHAIN for yanking out dead apple trees, 6-7 empty beer bottles (drank while listening to the radio, washing the truck and burning trash), a few tools, BBQ lighter and an empty jerky package.
I got the truck washed but was getting fairly inebriated and decided it was best not to stick around for the interior ... too far to crawl to the house.

Some CD's, a 1911a1, a WW2 Winter Combat jacket, and the programmers.
Plus fuel additives, jumper cables, stingers, tow straps, flashlight etc under the back seat.
Overall I keep the interior of my truck clutter free.

I moved a lot of it to the toolbox, but I still have the following.
Console contains my entire CD collection, don't listen to music much in the house, rolaids, advil and actifed, tin of cinamon altoids, change holders are full, copy of Utah lift laws.
Under the seat I have a pair of sandals, I don't wear shoes much and often leave the house shoeless, nothing sucks worse than running to the store and having to go back home to get your shoes.
Glovebox contains my GPS, never know when it will come in handy, flashlight, first aid kit, digital tire pressure guage, my original window sticker (yes, I kept it), pair of gloves (in the glovebox, who'da thunk it).
Under the rear seat I have a little toolbox with screwdrivers, sockets, wire, connectors, crimper, assorted screws.
Blanket, towel, jacket, binoculars, OEM bottle jack (useless, but could use it in a good samaritan fashion I guess).
Passenger side door pockets: 10 or so varied electronic convenience cigarette lighter charging/power cords, couple of CD's that won't fit in the center console, USGS map of my usual camping grounds, the bright orange "Bear Danger" card they were handing out the last time I was there.
Driver side door pockets: .357 Magnum, couple extra packs of smokes, extra lighter, wad of various fast food joint napkins (come in handy in case of spills or a runny nose), hair brush, Leatherman tool.
Probably have a lot of stuff I've forgot, but I run a fairly clean ship, so no refuse is piling up anywhere.

Hmmm let see, haven't really been in my truck lately!!!
1. I have a huge book of my CD's, like 300 of them.
2. 3-10" subs under the back seat with a couple amps
3. Car seat for the kiddo
4. Couple sweat shirts and my Calaway Golf hat
5. A box with my two sets ( 8 strobes total ) of police car strobe lights in it........installing this weekend maybe
6. Center console full of a bunch of crap, misc. papers and such
7. My lucky dodge key chain that I have hanging from my mirror
8. Couple pairs of sunglasses............always forget to take them with me
Well that's about all I can think of right now, I don't drive it much so I'll have to go home and take a peek...... I keep it clean as a whistle in there.......no trash for me!!!

Ok. I'll play along.
I usaully don't buy into these threads of wasted key strokes, but what the heck. The wife and I are building our own house right now so my truck is a complete wreck to say the least.
concealed-carry gun (great article earlier today on gun control, loved it.)
20 ga. pump (for rattle snakes at our land)
box of .22 rounds (used the other night for killing empty beer cans)
one of those blasted cell phones that never works
3/4 drive socket set for working on the JD 4020
a tow rope for pulling Ferds and Chevys out of the mud
Sophie's (our pet raccoon) leash for long walks around the pond
Guitar stings, band junk, more electician tools than you can name, blah, blah, blah. O, and a pound of good ol' red Logan County Oklahoma mud in the floor boards from putting the septic tank and lagoon in. You don't eat dropped french fries in my truck....unless you are a really sick individual!
That aught to about do it.
