White Smoke, Cold Start Up

Started doing this Saturday morning and now everytime the truck sits for anything more then 5-6 hrs. Engine also stumbles for 1-2 seconds before it idles like normal. Not a huge amount of white but a fair amount.
Friday night, I filled up at the same place i always buy fuel from and never had a problem in 5+ years from there.
Had Smarty on level 1 and went to stock mode, still did it this afternoon.
No codes thrown.
I thought it might be the fuel heater because it was cold enough, I thought, this morning that it should have cycled and didn't. Fuse is not blown. That theory went out the window this afternoon after the truck sat for 9 hours with air temps in the mid 70's at work and puffed a cloud and stumbled like it has.
From work I drove 5 minutes to our shop, shut it off, truck was no where near warm or near normal operating temps. Restarted a few seconds later and a little puff and stumble. Went inside, came back out popped the hood and drained the filter housing about 50%. Cycled the key a couple of times and 1-2 minutes later started it up. Big puff, big stumble and turned to normal idle.
On the way home, I thru in 20 gallons from another fuel stop that goes thru alot and a bottle of Power Service just because and in case it was a bad load of Friday fuel I got. I'll be back in the morning to see if the this fixed it or not. Hopes are not high.
No power loss and seems to run just fine otherwise.

Sorry for the long winded explanation but I wanted to give everyone as much info as I know.
What's the thoughts on this one???
And no, the fuel and rail pressure gauges are not hooked up yet. There just there for decoration right now.

You likely have one or more bad injectors.

Yeah, that's what I figured after doing some reading here and elsewhere last night.
Fresh 20 gallons of fuel and a bottle of Power Service made no diff.
Dropping the truck off today at the dealer so they can start it in the morning and call me with the news after doing some testing.
There words were "seen a few of these lately".

My 06 does the same thing. I have had it at 2 dealers and both told me it was moisture in the exhaust buring off.

Well, leak down test showed "within spec" on all.
Test did reveal that there may be debris in the injectors and recommend an injector flush. They think I may have got a bad load of fuel.
I think they're setting me up for a bad fuel "not covered under the warranty" speech.

Yup, guaranteed! Gotta love those dealers. Have they accused you of running a box yet? My dealer did that even when I wasn't running a box, based solely on the fact that I had gauges. They'll probably want to charge you for the flush, too...

CHANGE YOUR OIL!!

Mine started doing that in the winter (which isn't that cold here in FL). I had been doing a lot of toying around with new programmers and crap which dumped a ton of soot into the oil. I only had 2900 miles on the oil, but figured what the heck...I'll go ahead and change. Bingo....GONE 100%! Try that and see.

Mine was doing it and I had two bad injectors. They replaced the injectors and did the "white smoke reflash". It still did it. I dumped some Howes Meaner Power Cleaner in it and ran the crap out of it. After that I started using 2 stroke oil in my fuel. Doesn't do it anymore.

Did yours idle or anything differently. Mine is giving me a good puff of white after it sits all night, but starts/idles/runs great. I too was playing around with different setting on my stuff right before it happened. Oil on the dipstick is JET black, but does not smell like diesel, nor is the level high. I will definitly give an oil change a shot!

mine did the same 05 3500 4x4. then the next thing the injector stuck open and was trying to hydrolock the motor. dealer had it for a month to replace 1 injector. did it again recently then went away. think ill trade it in.
