Which axle?

I have a 98.5 2500 4x4 diesel I'm trying to figure out which axle I have. I think it's a Dana 60, but I want to be sure. How can I tell? Sorry for the dumb question.

All fronts are Dana 60's. Autos have Dana 70's in the rear and the manual tranny trucks have a Dana 80.

Is this just for the 1998.5 Auto trucks? Cause my 99 Auto has a 80 Rear and 90 Front

Ummm, no.

It's a 60, you're just reading it upside down.

Wouldn't it be a Dana 09? That would be really small, I think.

No - unless you or a previous owner has changed out the rear differential or the tranny - you have a Dana 60 front diff and a Dana 70 rear diff (the trucks with the auto trannys got the smaller rear differential).

He's got a 3500 according to his signature. That should make it an 80.
