what's your top speed?

just curious what ya'lls truck's top speed is. i'm sure everybody's tried at least once I got the opportunity to play around with another cummins on the highway a few days ago with some interesting results. I have not idea who the other guy was but his truck was an 01-02 2500 sport definately bomded. we gave each other a mutual thumbs up while on the off ramp.
I ultimately found out that my truck goes 109 MPH. that's it, it runs out of rpms, i tried for what seemed like miles to get it to go faster but it wouldn't. Oh well.

how fast are u guys running?

117 at 2700rpm in 4th gear. The truck started defueling. Need drag comp to make it go faster. Pretty impressive considering I'm lifted 4.5" and run 35's. I guess the 3.54 gears in the rear end help.

Believe it or not; i havent opened mine up yet, and ive had it ever since i have had my liscence which was 16, and im 18 now. Some day i want to, but i just havent done it yet. I feel like it would do around 120mph. 3:54 gears, .69 overdrive in the auto, 285's, and a 3k GSK. Id hate to know how fast it would go with a 4k It will pull to about 3200rpm's if i tighten the governor springs a little. Id say 120 should be about right. Thats dang fast for a 7k lb truck

Just messing around one time I had my '01 up to an indicated 115 during a 30 second blast on the service road to the Bonniville Salt Flats. Still had more in it, but the road was too rough for that speed.

109-110 or somewhere there close. Pretty much stock, but top speed definately depend on up or down hill!

Up to 105 and climbing put I had to let off. Wife saw how fast I was going I was barely losing a race to a Chevy gasser towing an empty 6' utility trailer..............

..............I was towing a 18' open car trailer with a 70 Newport on it.

However it did take him a while to start pulling on me.
