On the way into work this morning and from 20 MPH and I let him stomp it first. He whipped into the left lane of a 1/2 mile Yeild. He never got closer than 20' from my rear bumper before I started pulling away. I locked on the converter & used the Pac Brake for 50 yds. then stomped it and let him try to cut through the black cloud.
when we got to work he said he never got it to go down into low thats why he couldn't pass. I said , what about the other 1/4 mile we ran? you couldn't get it in high gear either . He said he can take me from a dead stop. Not if I spool up first. . I'm going to call him out for the new show PINKS. Th e Dakota would make a nice first truck for my boy!!!!!!!

I have a 318 Dodge Ram QC and a Dodge Ram CTD
My 318 has headers, a performance exhaust, Transgo shift improver and a Hypertech Power Programmer (adds maybe 20 HP)
My CTD has the Turbo Air Guide and a low stall converter
The 318 will blow the CTD away at this point.

 

This grey haired old woman tried to race me from a stoplight in a brand new saturn v6 suv. I wasn't expecting it at all, and I was in the lane that had to merge. I had the box on 100hp already, so I just nailed it, reeled her in and passed her, but not with a ton of room. She honked and gave me the finger, signifying her acceptance that Cummins is #1 SHE WAS IN A SATURN!!!

There are a lot of CTDs out there that can't beat a 5.2L Dakota in a straight up "benchmark test." Heck, with my 5 speed, I don't know if I could.

 

It would be nice to have a kills section in the forum, those chevy boys have one and are killing Dodges right and left, according to them.

 

They are spewing a bunch of bull manure too....

I wasn't going to comment on HOHN saying that but i do understand both sides. I did get a laugh out of his comment and just passed it off thinking he just has a sarcastic sense of humor like me. considering my truck was stock with 150 Hp and 6800# and the dakota is 230hp?? and 3500# i was feeling pretty cocky.
I just took the guy for a riide tonight that owns the brand new that I talked him into buying and he said he didn't expect what he felt.
we went to Hooters in delaware (for the wings!! ) and too look at new Dodges at the new dealer next door. I put money down on a new one

A buddy of mine used to have a lifted duramax that would smoke a lot of CTDs out there, mine for sure...

But his fuel rail gave out, filling the crankcase full of fuel 3 times in the 40k he had it...

Of course he says it's no fault of the truck or engine though...
