water in fuel light coming on

i just bought a new 06 and the dealer filled it up before i picked it up. i'm still on the first tank and a couple of times today the water in fuel light has come on. it stays on for about a minute then goes out. is this common or something to be worried about? the manual says to drain it but i wonder if this should happen with my first tank?

i'm already taking it to the dealer tomorrow to have the painted plastic bumper trimmed replaced (big scratch when i picked it up). i'll have them look at it when i drop it off.

That is not normal. I'm sure the dealer will drain it. Or you can do it yourself.

stick a plastic cup under the drain tube and open the valve and see what comes out..

garbage in/garbage out.. if you got a load of water in the fuel, it could take some time to get it all out of the system.
