Warranty Purchase
Warranty Purchase
I have been looking around the internet and I have seen a lot of Dodge dealerships selling the Chyrsler/Dodge Maximum Care 7 year 100K mile warranty for around $1,900.00. Does this sound like a good deal......has anyone had trouble purchasing a Dodge warranty from an out of state dealership?
Sounds like a decent price.I know all dealers as in any business are not the same and folks here laugh at WARRANTY and EXTENDED SERVICE CONTRACTS.Let me say that I've been out of the business for 5 years. When I WAS in it and worked at a D.C.dealer(5 service writers) I handled about 30 to 35k a week parts and labor(just me) I did about 40 to 45k a MONTH in FACTORY SERVICE CONTRACT repairs parts and labor.Yeah, some items wern't covered and NOTHING is bumper to bumper but I had a LOT of happy campers that were GLAD they bought a extended sercice contract. Its a INSURANCE policy and sometimes INSURANCE is never used and sometimes it is.
"Its a INSURANCE policy and sometimes INSURANCE is never used and sometimes it is." The LIFE INSURANCE I have I hope I never use!!!
That is the way I looked at. Back in the late 80"s I had the extended with an MR2 and when the engine froze up the bill came to $6000.00, I was very happy with only paying $100 deductable. Anyway the Dodge Warrenty Price is about right, I did mine on line for about the same price and pay $155 a month for 12 months interest free. It is the offical dodge warrenty not some off the wall aftermarket place.

For the money i bought the 7yr 75K mile deal (a bit cheaper than 7/100K) since i use the truck for pleasure not my daily. but there are things the new 3/36 from dc doesnt cover that the extended does, like a loaner for instance, and other things check out the differances in the old 7/70 vs 3/36 on the '06
