looking for a reasonably priced reverse pattern 518 valve body. found 2 different ones but 900 bucks is just a little much.

I'd like to find one too. Supposedly Goerend makes them on request.

You can save a LOT of money by rebuilding/reconfiguring what you have yourself.

I strongly recommend one call you favorite shift-kit maker and tell them exactly what you plan on doing with the truck, and let them steer you toward that which will serve you best.

i can do the 3 speeds have done them for years. i even found one company that wanted 900 bucks for the 3 speed valvebody which is totally uncalled for. when i could buy the seperater ? plate one could do it in a hour plus cleaning the valve body.

Try Suncoast! I'd say there pricey but you get what you pay for. That's what I have on my 95 it's a 47rh they should have something for the 518. BD Also has very reliable valvebody's

kinda looks like old man will have to try it alone. since 4th is electric it shouldnt be too hard. just have to do more hit or miss than i wanted to.

only ones i have found were almost 900 bucks. i used to do the 3 speeds regularly so i KNOW someone is making a pile of money off them. with the reverse pattern one doesnt have to worry about over shifting to neutral or reverse. D-2-1 and 1 is high gear. i think the 4 sp. would just be a switch.

Jughead, I wondering if you could do a sticky on the reverseing the valvebody. I for one, find what you are saying very interesting.
