Upgraded Clutch Hydraulics Question
Just put a Haisley Street Drag in my 2007 4x4 cummins. I love it so far. I had a shop install it and it was working properly. Since then (about 3k miles) it was increasingly harder to get to start. I had to push the clutch pedal harder and harder to the floor. Finally one day, it would not start. I looked at the shaft comming from the pedal that goes to the hyd. cylinder on the firewall. When the clutch pedal is depressed all the way to the floor, ther is about 1 inch clearence from the adjusting nut to the start interlock switch. I know the switch works because I can slide it up to make contact with the adjustment nut and then start the truck. What is the problem? Is there a way to adjust this? Why would it have worked properly at first then no longer made contact? This is very anoying and I would appreciate any help or info you can give me.

I have the southbend upgraded hydrolic, unsure if the same or not by mine is adjustable and i notice since there was no lock nut on mine the natural vibration would slowly spin the shaft in or out. I noticed after engagement fell difference and noticed it has pushed the pedel up. going to put a jam nut on mine. appears your was adjustable and may have moved from where the installer had it set.

Yes, I noticed the engagement is different. I tried to adjust the nut on the shaft and it was so hard to break lose I was afraid of breaking the shaft! Thats why I figured it had not moved but maybe it had. I dont know! After yours came out of adjustment did you have the problem with it not making contact with the start interlock switch? Thanks.
