I have seen kits for the twin stick 205 but only ford and chevy, they even have new shift rails that allow you to have 2wd low range and some even allow front wheel drive only. I will call a couple of these places and if I get any positive results will post them here.

Thanks, I just shot them an email. That single lever shifter is right up there with the 21cm exhaust housing and the stock torque converter.

these twin stick conversions dont look to bad to make except for the rail things that go into the transfercase, i think im better off buying those then modifying the old ones, but the rest i can fab up in shop class or at my home, what do you all think of the twin stick conversion? sounds like it would be great for towing in 2 wheel low.

If you don't lock both your hubs in, you have 2wd low. Which I do this when backing the trailer into my driveway, much easier on the clutch, just don't get carried away with your right foot. Lots of torque and low gearing make it very easy to break something!!

check out pirate4x4.com and some of the others, the 'kit' you want is the chevy shifters and you'll have to modify your mount to accept the twins. The linkage will also have to be modded. The 'sticks' in the t-case are easily modified, a little grinding and they'll be done, kinda like the fuel pin grind. Might as well reseal the t-case while your in there also...just my .02

twin stick

i did my jeep 4bt pickup with a three stick, adding the ord 203 box, for a second reduction, you can 2-stick the 205 with simple shift rail modification, pm your email, and ill shoot the link, the rail split allows separate front, and rear activity, on off camber slope, especially with posi, the weight of the vehicle wants to shift downhill when trying to turn uphill, breaking drive to the rear and locking the ebrake, allows an almost stand still pivot to achieve the turn, i dont use it alot, but you really appreciate the option when necessary.
