Truck hard to start...sometimes
When my truck sits, sometimes overnight sometimes while I'm at work, I try to crank it and it turns over about 15 before it finally fires off. Then sometimes I jump in it and starts like it should. I've tried to start after it's been plugged in and I've tried to start it after not being plugged in just to see if that made a differance. It did'nt! Then the other day I went to get in it and I had fuel leaking down from the top of my fuel tank. I only had a 1/4 tank of fuel and I was sitting on level ground. If anyone has any ideas I would sure appreciate it. My truck is a 2002 that is stock except for a set of rv275 injectors I put in over a year ago. Thanks for the help!!! John

FASS or Airdog
I was thinking about going ahead and putting a Fass or and airdog system on my truck. Is there a differance in the two? I know that differant people have differant opinions on certain products. I like the price on the airdog but am I getting as good of a product? I'm not saying that just because of the low price that its an inferior product. I just like to put all my cards on the table and maybe get an opinion from someone who runs an airdog and from someone who runs a Fass. I'm still dont know a whole lot about diesel power products, so thats the reason for all the questions. Thanks for any help! John

Was also going to say it is your steel 90 degree elbows that are on top of the fuel sending unit.
That is my picture in madhat's topic and all I did was replace my stock fittings with the Draw Straw from Vulcan Performance. Both my return and supply elbows were rusted through. Tried cold welding them but that didn't work for longer than a week.

I had the same problem . Couldn't figure it out and then one morning it started leaking diesel and became easy to notice the problem. Turned out the fuel drain manifold had a small leak coming from injector 6 that was allowing air in the lines and allowing the fuel to go back and settle making for very interesting morning starts to say the least. Tightend her down and have not had a problem in 5 weeks, if it comes back I will simply replace the washer.
Everyone had told me it was most likely the lines, but they turned out fine, I could not believe how simple my fix was.
Anyways that is my story on what it could possibly be, good luck
