Transgo kit - effect on warranty?

I have the 7/70 still in effect on my truck. If I install the Transgo kit, will it void the warranty on my transmission?

Unless you have a tranny issue and they tear into it.

Depend on how much the dealer jerks you around. IMO you are less likely to have trans problems with the shift kit. My dealer gave me a hard time about the gauges on the pillar. I reminded the that I have purchased 3 vehicles from them in the past, Im still young with LOTS of car buying years ahead and if they give me any crap guess where I wont be buying my next vehicle!

It can only effect the trans and related warantee.
The engine and truck are still covered.

All they have to do is look at it. It is pretty obvious.

Good luck if they rip into tranny.

It's hard to believe something that's suppose to "better" your ride usually ends up voiding the warranty..

A big VOID if you install it. Although, you will not regret installing it, I love mine.

Of course!!!
If it cures the factory short comings, the dealer won't get any return business.

Just a note on the gauges, my dealer thinks its a GREAT idea that I have gauges. NO waranty issues what so ever.

Whats obvious? If you dissassemble the VB and know the stocker really well you "might" be able to tell. IIRC, you have to drop the VB to even see the seperator that may have transgo visible. Considering the level of most techs, its doubtful they could tell it has been worked on.

Now, some of the billet pieces one needs ot replace are a little more obvious but any tech worth anything will understand those pieces are not going to cause failure but stave it off.

Whats the trick to puting the VB back in the tranny? I took mine out to install a shift kit this week end and I have to tell you it's been 20+ years since I did my last shift kit and that was on a C-4 Ford.
I got to tell ya it's true that the older you get the harder it is to do things like you once did.
After I got the VB out and figured how to fix the mess I had made with the parking rod that is "suposed" to come out with the VB that nobody told me about, on a c-4 all that parking stuff stays in there) I said "Lord if you let me get all this stuff back in there I will leave it alone". Well He did and I did , sort of, I did install the new govenor pressure thingy fron PATC.
Where can you get info on working on these things, it would have been nice to have better instructions than the Trango supplied instructions, wich are not what I call all that great.

The parking rod is a pain, ain't it? C4's are a lot different.

The trick is to jack up one wheel so you can rotate the output shaft until the pawl will drop into a slot. Then the VB practically falls in and out.

The Transgo instructions are all over the place. They have you bouncing from from place to place instead of in a nice orderly manner. Would be nice if they had put a little thought into order instead of just functionality.
