Torque converter status light- anyone done this?

Has anyone connected a light or LED to indicate when the TC is locking/unlocking? It seems simple, but I want to hear from someone that's done it before I start tapping wires...
I have put a light on my truck for the lock-up switch, it is not to complecated, you simply run constant power to the light, and use the new wire going to the lock-up switch for your interupting ground. since your wire going to the plugin is a ground wire anyhow!! 1 thing though, when your driving down the road , dont be alarmed when it comes on -on its own, it will turn the light on when it locks up automaticly too.! scared me at first!! ;D ;D

I wired it in today- works good, except that the pcm backfeeds 12 volts when the ignition is off, so I have to rig up some type of diode to block the voltage.

Otherwise, it works good.
