i have a 1998 3500 dually and cant seem to find the right tires for my truck. Im looking at a tire with an aggressive tread due to driving in farm fields and snow. any ideas?

i also wanted to go up a size but a tire dealer told me that when i put weight on the truck the sidewalls of the dualls will touch and wear faster???

Love mine, will be replacing them with the same, they are available in 235-85-16.

What works well in fields is pretty different than what works well in the snow. In the snow you want a tire that has a good cold weather compound and good siping. In a field you want something with good lugs on it, like the BF Goodrich Mud Terrain.

For size, 235-85/R16 is the biggest you can go on a dually without spacers. I've seen duallies that had 255-85/R16s that used spacers, so that might be an option.

I have the BFG Mud Terrain 255/85R16's and I love the look of them. I have a 1/4 inch spacer, but I think I would be fine without it. I do not haul, but the duals appears to have plenty of room between them.

If you are looking towards a commercial type aggressive tread check out the Michelin XPS Traction.

I put some Kelly Springfield Safari STR tires in 265/70R16 on my 2500. It's SRW so watch out for tire scrubbing. Sidewalls aren't as tough as the tread. When they rub together you can eat through a sidewall in short order. They are a fairly aggrassive All Terrain tire but not quite as aggressive as mud terrain.
