Tires on dually

I have a 96 3500 Dually as you all can see at the bottom of my specs. I was wondering what brand of tires people use and what size options are available. Right now I am running Michelin X Radials LT235 85 R16 I believe, and I will double check that. Since I only have 2wd would I be better to go to an A/T tire instead of an all season? In the summer I often need to drive through fields with a horse trailer on and also would hopefully benifit in the winter time.

Thank you for any advice.

I ran Bridgestones for several years, and I was happy with them. I switched to Michelins, with Mand S on the rear and highway tires on the front. I like the Michelins, but I find that they give a much harder ride than the Bridgestones. Next time, I think that I will go back to Bridgestone.

Re:Tires on dually

The odd time I do go into fields with a trailer on, and I do drive through our Canadian winters up here. My worry is by going to a A/T tire I will be not getting as long out of the tires because the majority of my driving is on paved roads. I know I will get a rougher ride with more road noise aswell. Maybe I will be better off sticking with the Michelin X Radial?

Jeff, you and i are in the same position. If I had it to do again, I would just go with the highway tires all around.
