What is that tapping??

I've got a light popping clunking sound, in the front end somewhere, that's getting worse. I cannot find any bushing movement or see any evidence that anything is loose. I've also started feeling a light tapping on the pedals and steering wheel when I'm travelling under 15 mph. Anyone have any thoughts or experience??

I kinda have something like the petal feeling that you are talking about... It the go petal kinda vibrates a little more right before a shift? The brake petal has it when I'm stopped...

??? I don't hear any noise, tho.

Mine aren't while I'm sitting still, rather they are when I'm rolling. It doesn't take a big bump to make it tap, then it is more of a clunky pop. But, when I'm just rolling along coasting, it taps with what feels like every little movement of the truck on the suspension.

Sure its in the front end? The clips on the rear leafs come loose and will drive you nuts..

I would check for loose shocks bolts or front shock upper bushing worn out or loose.

I hear this all the time. 9 out of 10 times it is the bottom shock mounts are loose. They don't feel loose or look loose, but go under thier and take a big cheater and tighten them up. I would bet this will cure your problem

I'll take a look at the shock mounts again later on, and see if I find anything.

yeah i guess i am kinda having the same problem. Can feel the light tapping more on the gas pedal than anything. Only feel it when i am turning left, even just slightly left on the highway. It don't matter the speed, and bumps don't make a difference just does it when normal driving. Can feel it slightly in the steering wheel but most noticable on the gas pedal. Kinda feels like someone is behind it tapping it with the finger while my foot it on it. Does mine sound the same as everyone elses

Here's a dumb one...

I looked at the shock bolts on the bottom, and I can't figure out how to get a wrench on them??

Just use a socket on the bolt head, the nut is held in place with a captive clip.

I had the same feeling in my steering wheel and pedals. The dealer replaced the steering shaft and the feelings went away.
