I was having a problem with my Torq converter not locking up so I cleaned up my TPS and it worked fine for 500 miles. Now my Tac and Spedo is not working at all. I had a shop put in a new Computer at $580 and I am still having the same problem. Any ideas????

 

Could be the ESS.

 

Check your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). It's on the driver's side of tranny tail housing.

 

Can those be checked with an OEM metter.

 

Do you mean an ohm meter? Maybe but I don't know how.
Most often the problem is in the ESS connector up by the thermostat, check and clean it up.
Also check that the gap between the dampener and sensor is about the thickness of a matchbook cover.
If these two things check out I usually replace the ESS without testing it.
