Swap Mega console for QC

Living in AZ...we use the AC almost 24x7, particularly with 110-115F days! With junior on the way, not 'till october, I'd certainly like to get some AC circulating into the back seat.

At any rate, Driving the jetta got me thinking about this....you see, it has AC ducted to two, albeit small, vents out the rear of the center console.

I was wondering if anyone has looked into swapping the mega cab center console into a QC....I know it would be more than just the console...the ducting under the dash would probably have to be changed as well.

I also though this might cut down some of the fan noise on high.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Tony

You'll probably have the same amount of fan noise. Also, the mega cab AC fan makes a lot of noise but doesn't blow very hard, maybe due to the extra ducting. Your idea seems to me, to be a lot of work for little reward(jmho).
Good luck...

I'll second that opinion....

That's what I was afraid of....I was also thinking the parts would be spendy too!

Thanks for the sanity check!
