Slider window noise
Slider window noise
Anyone have any toruble with their sliding rear window making noise? The slider has almost 1/4 inch of play on the track, and makes an annoying rubbing noise. Is this normal?
Re:Slider window noise
I'm 90% sure there was a discussion on this when the 3rd gens first came out.
Discussion of what lube product to use on it, etc.
I think the consensus was to use a dry lube, such as graphite, as a wet lube will attract dust and dirt.
If it has a lot of play, I'd visit the dealer.

Re:Slider window noise
I had a noise problem for a while after my polaris 4 wheeler bounced through it. No noise after the new window was put in. The dealer wanted $500 to put in a new one. Went to a local glass guy and had one done for $150 and it is nicer than the factory glass. ;D
Re:Slider window noise
The sliding window in my truck would rattle a little bit when the weather was colder. However, since my slider got broken out a few weeks ago, I got a solid rear put in and shouldn't hear the rattle any more.
