Paired with 6x.16s would a 57/65 work out better or the 62/71 for a truck that would need to pull 12k quite a bit?

 

Depends on how the pump is tuned, but I would go with the 62/71.

With proper pump tuning, you could easily use the S300G as well.

 

The 62 will make more air but the 57 is recomended for towing.

The S300G would light a lot quicker which is very useful for towing. If the trucks main purpose is a tow rig, you shouldn't be wanting over 350rwhp anyways, and the S300G will support that.

 

two questions, whats the inducer wheel size on the stock 93 turbo? And can u make a decent set of twins if I wanted to step into that one day? Thanks for your input guys!

The 2nd gen guys seem to absolutely love the S300G in a twin setup.

The stock inducer for a '93 should be 54mm.

Even though the S300G is a 57mm, years of turbo technology advances make it worlds better than an H1C.

 

I just dont think I can stand payin that much for a 57 mm inducer, i mean thats got to be a serious lack of power compared to a 62mm. I hate to pay 1400 for a phatshaft but a 62/65 sounds perfect for me, seems like a bunch of people are sayin that the 71mm exducer is bad for pulling heavy.

 

Hey ive been lookin around and has anybody heard of D-Tech Turbo, They look like theve just copied the phatshaft 62/65 but they sell new on ebay for 1,100$. Wanted to see if anybody knew anything about them.

 

I don't claim to have experence with twins but I would think the S300G would be a great rig for twins. I have the G on my 89 and it spools instantly. I thought that was the whole idea of twins, to spool the small one right at the hit then have the big boy take off after that. Best of both worlds. If you want lag just get a big single.

For what your doing, 62/65/14 1st choice; 62/71/14 second choice.

 

I've had this conversation many times with Brain Block. He told me for a truck under 400rwhp, a Super HX40 is a fantastic turbo. The S300G is supposed to flow more air than an HX40, so I don't see the problem in buying one in a truck that will have less then 400rwhp.

 

You can get a 62/65/14 from gillett diesel for 1,100 they are great for towing
