Road Armor front bumpers?

Anyone have a Road Armor front bumper on their truck? I'm kind of going off the deep end, but I'm seriously thinking about getting one for my truck and having it painted mineral grey to match. I'm looking at the standard Stealth w/winch model. Anyone have one? How do you like it? How easy was the install? Did you paint it? Thanks a lot guys.

I like it. It wasn't too hard to install, but it did take some time to get it lined up and get the winch wired and installed. I had mine power coated but now wish I would have line-xed it black.

You can have them painted can't you? If I'm not mistaken they come powder coated or you can get them "raw" from the factory? I assume you can paint either the powder coated or raw bumpers? I like it. Anyone else with pics? Anyone with thoughts? Thanks.

I had it delivered raw. I had it done here in AZ for less than RA wanted.

I bought an alien patrol bumper and it is identical to the road armor but about 500 bucks cheaper. I think the owners name is Jim,anyway he said that he used to own road armor with two friends and some how they cheated him out of everything so he moved to Colorado and started alien patrol. He gave me a lifetime warranty and it looks great. I think its alienpatrol.com.

Thanks for the heads up. I looked up the Alien Patrol bumpers and you're right, they do look the same. I can get the Road Armor bumper (standard, without extra "tubes") and the Alien Patrol bumber for about the same price (around 1300.00) . . . so it's probably 6 of one or half dozen of the other. They definitely look very similar . . .

I have the Lonestar guard on mine (sorry can't get pict. now) and it looks awesome. Little difficult to get it all ligned up during install but not bad if you have an extra jcak to support it while you fine tune everything. I will say the RA powder coating is not very good. Mine already has rust on the backside. I would get it raw and have a quality PC put on.

I don't have the RA bumper, but I do have the FabFours bumper. Don't do the paint, get it powder coated. Much more durable.

I have the road armor i like it and it was pretty easy to install ( use a engine lift or forklift ) I got mine raw i would have deff got it powderd or had line x or somthing on it if i had it to do again. Every litle rock that hits it chips the paint and ten rust. In fact im thining of pulling it in a few months and spraying it.

Only complaint is i think they could have welded both sides of the bumper.

Thanks for all the replies. With my truck I wouldn't want it sprayed (wouldn't look good on my truck) and I guess you can't get "paint matched" powder coat . . . so I might be S.O.L. on the bumper for a while. I certainly don't want it chiping and rusting, but I guess that's almost inevitable. Hmmm

bumper

I have the front and rear bumpers of Road Armor copies from http://www.jddistributing.com/site/1320111/page/728660
I had both coated with Line-X type coating. Holding up pretty well, but they do lose their luster with ultraviolet - flat black look. Front is heavy with winch ~150 pounds, used handheld fork lift to raise and hold in place then bolts in easy.
