Question for those with Mopar Winter Front

I just received my Mopar winter front and I was wondering where everybody hooked the bottom 3 hooks at?
Thanks in advance.

on my 06 there are a couple of holes drilled into the bottom of the bumper where it turns back up vertical. Sorry I do not know if your 04.5 is the same bumper design...

yeah, just crawl under, look up at the back of the bumper, and there are some holes to attach them to.

On my 05 the holes for those hooks are filled with clamps that hold the wiring for the fog lights. I thought about using some cable ties are something to attach the hooks to the cable, but never got around to that 'detail' - I just let that part of the winter front hang and it seems to work just fine

I just drilled 3 small holes right beside the ones that were holding the wiring. Worked like a charm.

A note of caution - The bottom of the winter front may shred over time if you leave it like this. Mine did.

I just popped those three grommets for the fog light wiring out, and hook the cover in those. The fog light wiring lays in the bottom of the bumper and doesn't move.

Thanks for the responses. I saw the holes with the clamps for the fog lights wiring. I think I will just remove the clamps and use those holes as djbikeman suggested.

Good tip, I think I'll do that as well - thanks!

I put zip ties around the fog light harness and left them loose enough to attach the hooks to. One year I hooked the straps on the engine side of the intercooler at the bottom. The bottom of the intercooler has a lip to hook onto.

As someone said the bottom will probably shred by the end of winter, mine did. It just hangs there with no support from the hook straps and it blows back against the intercooler and the sharp edges cut it. I just trimmed mine with scissors.

Just hook it to the fog light wiring if you are that concerned about it. Otherwise just leave it loose. where will it flap in the wind? I do not have to worry about the shredding problem due to my condenser guard providing a rigid frame support for the cold front. I also wipe my cold front down every so often with FS2001 turtle wax to keep it pliable in the frozen winter. Only tears that I have seen are the the plastic J hooks that hook the lower left and right flaps that hook the cold front to the frame.

When I bought my 07, I threw it on at the dealer real quick and didn't hook the bottom. I figured I would take care of it when I got home, but forgot. A month later, it was shredded on the bottom drivers side. That was after about 3k miles driving 55-75mph.

Personally, I wouldn't hook it to the fog light wiring. Driving highway speeds will pull on those wires and over time they will break. The installation instructions show it hooking into the three holes in the bumper that hold the fog light wiring.

Just telling my experience with the cover over the last 4 winters.
