Thumbs up Quadzilla Issues & Customer service

So i have the Quadzilla 120HP module (bought Dec 20th) and Recon kit...bought it from a dealer on Ebay "Mudhog"

Great service from Mudhog & fast shipping, couldnt of asked for a smoother transaction.

Now the Recon screen failed 3 days later....wont display anything. Called Quadzille just before Christmas & they gave me an Return number & everything. Well a few weeks ago, the Box started acting up....at idle, in any power level EXCEPT 0 it would miss.

Havent got a chance to call Quadzilla to tell them this but my phone just rang from Texas! It was them asking me why i havent returned my Recon module! So i told them about the other issue & they're going to help me out bigtime!

I just thought it should be posted that even though there's a problem, these guys went way beyond just solving it & the fact that they're even calling me back asking why i havent sent this stuff back for warranty is unbelieveable!

Just thought i'd say thanks to qzilla & crew....keep up the great work. The resolution after a problem is what makes or breaks a business.

Same here. They've gone above and beyond what I would normally expect from a company.

The fuel presure sensor for the cammander is of a poor design/manufacture and they have replaced 4 of them for me now. I also had trouble with my cammander when i first got it i sent it in and they sent me a new one. Great customer service.

That is always great to hear!!! Quad will be my next box. I have not even studied thier features, just thier customer service which from what I have been told is top notch!!! More credit and praise should be given to these companys that go the extra mile to do what needs to be done. Does it pay off??? Well, just search for quads customer service anywhere and you will see it does. Like you said, it makes or breaks a company. As an Edge owner, I have to steer new mod owners to the quad. Just because edge does not return a call when you leave a message. And i have been having trouble out of it. I plan to call them on it again this week and see if they will fix it, and get it back to me VERY quickly at thier cost. I will post up my experiences. I feel ashamed now as a fellow Texan that i sought service elsewhere. I was wrong.

On a side note to the praise of GREAT customer service, would have to be, GLACIER. I ordered thier walbro kit a while back and the owner told me his normal operated hours but then added " If you have a problem when we are closed call *** *** ****, that is my cell phone. I will answer and walk you through it". His kit is sooo straightforward that we did'nt need it. But just the fact that he offered, that stuck with me and i will always throw him business when i can.

BINGO!

Same here. I have been having problems with my fuel pressure sensor for a while now. Just recently got in touch with Quad about it and wish I would have sooner. They are waiting on shipment of a new design. Best part is Quad will be contacting ME when it is available. I have met them two different events now and they were great to this young-un.

Gotta love them Texans...

after trying evrything under the sun to fix the quad bucking/missing problems that are still on-going with the adr.box,my xztplus box is still just a 360 dollar boost-fooler for me....after we had tried probably 15 tunes,it still does it...quad ended it with telling me that maybe it was my convertor..i asked about trying another style box he makes, and he didnt want to do that being as those boxes are being phased out...im not the only one with this problem, and i really have been patient waiting on a fix......ive had quads products before, ive had some issues and he has always taken care of them promptly...but im feeling out of the loop on this one.he appears to have moved on to the bigger box now,and isnt doing anything besides features for the xzt line.......i really wanted to hear try another style box or money back, but heard neither...........not bashing quad, just not 100% satisfied.....bama

Bama, I have had the same issue with the XZT+ box. I have tried everything going to get it straight, and no luck. on boost fooling only its fine, on timing, you get a very slight surge at low throttle, and on the high setting it bucks and kicks and jerks and stutters. I have tried all available tunes, and have had no luck either.

At this point, I have not heard back from the boys since before Xmas, and I am not holding my breath.

And I can assure you it is NOT your converter. Mine is a 5 speed.

At the present time, I am looking seriously at going to either VA, or simply using a boost fooler, some more air, and some bigger injectors to get to where I would like to be. Sometimes the hard way is simply easier.

I still think that Quad and the crew are doing a reasonable job, no outright bashing here, hope they have better luck with the bigger and better things, and maybe use a little more beta time before final release.

pind,if you followed the old thread, you know i was in the mix on testing several tunes...i ran with meters attached and monitored my map output(before and after the box),my apps, and tested the iat sensor,,all were fine.no spikes, nothing but smooth and steady transitions everywhere....my point being is,i feel that ive gone the distance on trying to figure something out on my end,and cant come up with anything......we seem to be getting left out in left field on this.............bama

Like I mentioned to you in a PM, the next logical thing to do was let us get our new updates out.

We changed some stuff on the Adrenaline and we are also making those changes on the xzt+ it just takes some time.

The last thing is since we updated software I would say that 99% of the people or more DO NOT have any shuddering issues??

Ok Quad, here is the deal. In this particular case, it is not a 'shudder' it is a complete surge, like the throttle being stepped on in a random manner, opening up/closing/opening up, and not consistent. There is no discernable point that it reaches, rather, it varies the intensity of the surge EVERY time.

So, with a new APPS, new VP44, Glacier lift pump system at a steady 17psi, and no air entering the fuel system on the low pressure side, and an engine that runs in proper form without the xzt+ attached to it, I can say for sure that the only variable causing this, is the box.

I have tried all of the updates available to me at this point. This has been going on since september, and as I said earlier, I am not bashing you or your guys. This product simply is not working in this application. If 99% of the other units out there are perfect, well, good on them. However, at this point, I see no advantage to compromising items further down the driveline, to "enjoy" the bucking and surging power settings on the xzt+ box.

As I mentioned earlier, hopefully the ( newer/bigger/better/stronger/faster ) stuff works out well for you. And as far as time, perhaps when more updates are available for the box, I may try it again. Perhaps I won't have the time at that point. That is how the world turns.

Just as a comparison. When I see 9 year old VA boxes that have not missed a beat in that timeframe, that were tested to absolute death before release, I wonder if we have progressed, or regressed in technology and hard parts. That is just food for thought.

Sorry for the long post people, hopefully we can figure something out.

I think you are comparing Apples to Oranges. The VA box does not fuel very hard, very quickly or make very much power. This is not just hear say it has been proven on a dyno.

It is easy to make something have no bottom end, and no top end with a little gain in-between. Who wants that????

Here is the advantage. WE have USB and we are non-stop working on new stuff for these trucks. NO ONE else would give you the time of day. So, it may not be working as you want right this second but, as we log issues and make software adjustments for INDIVIDUAL trucks you will get what you want.

Now, if you drive your truck to me I can fix it immediately and you can go back home. Until then, it might take some time.

Now, of course if you box surges you are going to scream louder than someone who's box is working fine, that is normal and I expect that.

The best thing we can do at this point is make changes and see if we fix it. It is not going to happen in the next 30 minutes. I have to make changes that makes sense. Not to mention we do have a lot of stuff to work on.
