Popping flames out tail pipe?
Popping flames out tail pipe?
Truck started acting up this evening and started coughing and popping, and one time I even saw a flame pop out the tail pipe? Not kidding, about crapped my pants. I came to a stop and it seemed to idle fine but when I'd rev the motor it would pop and miss really bad. So right then I loaded the stock program back into the truck and it seemed fine. I was running the tnt/r smarty on catcher #2 with level #3 on the torque management and the rest on stock (#1) So I don't know if I had something screwed up or what, but what could cause a flame to shoot out the tail pipe? Raw fuel I'd have to guess but holy crap that can't be good.
Plus I'm not sure but somewhere I have developed a surging also when crusing, it will do it bad enough that it will make the whole truck shake. It does it really bad with most all Smarty programs and I think that I can still feel it when everything is stock. I don't know why, but I feel that I have a fuel problem somewhere. Could it also have been something to do with the popping? CP3 Injectors. I don't know!
Just really getting down on this, if anyone could help or point me towards somebody that could that'd be great! Pretty much at my witts end and getting ready to get out.
Thanks again,
Snoxracer Dustin

as long as your truck isn't sounding like this.....
tail pipe flames
Dustin I can't help you either but, I can say the TNT/R dumps some fuel ! Everyone always say... aftermarket injectors add timing so with the added timing from the smarty on top of that....you may have had too much ?? good luck with it.
