Does any one know if I can get an after market switch to turn my passenger side air bag off.

 

why not get a factory switch??

You can get the factory switch from a standard cab truck,however you have to get the computer reprogramed to recognize the on /off switch. You also have to get permission from,I beleive the DOT. They have paper work that needs to be filled out with your reason for doing this. I did not do it but did research it and chose not to do it. ( there is sombody on here that has done it,maybe he will chime in)!

 

Sounds like a hassle to me - maybe I'll forget about doing that.

 

I checked into this also so my son could ride in the front seat. Only regular cabs are equipped with the switch, since quads have the option to sit the child in the back seat you dont need to turn off the bag. They also said DOT may have to be informed
