No 2006 6 speeds?

I have talked to a couple of dealers in central Ohio and looked at some of the dealer inventories online. Both dealers are telling me that there are no 05 Ram 2500 QC LWB SLT 4x4 CTD 6 speeds equipped even close to what I am looking for.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

I would actually prefer an 03 or early 04 due to the cat and 3rd injection event, but thought if I could get a good deal, I would look at new ones.

I called Dave Smith and they had no 06s, he tried to quote me a couple 07s, but I don't care for the badges or tail lights. I did find a 3500 SRW in Ohio, but it is a few grand more than the way I wanted one.

I guess I'll keep looking at the used route, but some dealers are asking almost new prices for them. For example a dealer about 5 minutes from my house has an 04 2500 with a 6 speed and 19k miles (QC SWB 4x4) and they want $31900 for it. I can get a new 06 for $33k or so.

I had a similiar problem back in August. Third week of August there were six (6) 3500 SRW QC, LB, SLT six speeds in the whole area EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI.

I got a dually. I don't regret it a bit!

I have one with 12000 miles on it that I would trade for a dually.

Try Steve White Dodge in Hickory, NC. They have an amazing selection and the best prices I found east of the Mississippi. The drive saved me 6 grand.

Dude! The tailights will grow on you. Or you can replace them with lights out of an older truck. I heard they are interchangeable. I like my 07.....

My 05 6 speed

I have a black 05 LWB quad SLT 6 speed with 25,000 miles. I am in the process of retiring and relocating and am using it to move all my stuff from FL to NC. I hope to be complete and done with the truck in about 3 months and will sell the truck with maybe 35 or 40,000 miles. It has all the goodies except 4 wheel drive. It is the best road truck I have ever had. So far I have wasted my money on the extended warrentie. I have taken extra pains in keeping the truck looking like new knowing I will pass it along to someone else soon. If that fits your needs, email me. I don't know if it is allowed on this site but I will put my email and see. sawmillman@cfl.rr.com

I usually do not plug vendors or dealers (just a chip on my shoulder) but they treated me decent so I thought I would pass it along.
