Talking New Guy, Mega Cab Towing

Looking for input on the towing of a new 3500 megacab, 4x4, towing a fifthwheel with a dry weight of 12,000lbs. The fifthwheel will be a BigHorn 3670RL so the short box shouldn't be a problem. Towing mostly freeway to beach, some towing in Mountains of Utah and Colorado.
I guess towing loaded would be around 14,000lbs. Any info would be greatly
appreciated.

If it's a 5.9, I'd say first off get a exhaust brake, then get a Quadzilla Commander and a XZT tow chip. Then get yourself a Hytec diff cover and fill the rear end with a high quality rear end oil like Amasoil. You mite also need a slider hitch, I recommend the Superglide by pullrite.
After all that..........just hookup and go. Oooops, forgot you mite need a set of airbags too.
I'm using all the above and I'm pulling 14.5K lbs. Just got back from 4 days in Sequoia Nation Park.

Why do you need the hytec diff cover to tow that?

Hey MikeRP,
The Mag Hytec cover will help the rear end to stay cooler. Even if his truck is a 08' he's still at max GCWR.
