Uh oh, your in trouble. [nonono]

There might be "one or two people" in your area who are in to diesel performance. I'll let them chime in and let you know where to go. But your life as you know it is about to change. [laugh]

Congrats on the new truck and be sure to meet as many of these people that you can. There is a great group of guys in the NC VA area and you'll not regret meeting them, well, maybe your pocket will regret it. [coffee]

You learn quickly there is no such thing as "To Much Fun". Congrats on your purchase and welcome to DTR. First thing you want to do to your truck is tranny. Phil McMaster is a Goerend Tranny guy near Raleigh, he can fix you up. He goes by McMopar on this forum.

If you value the current amount in your savings account, run away!![laugh]

A great guy to get up with in your area is John_P. He knows the dark art of 12v voodoo.[laugh]

I don't know of any shops in jacksonville that do any performance work on these trucks. I work part time at Napa in town if you have any question i can tell you some of the things that i have learned. Like everyone has said there are some good guys from this area. i followed some of them to Rockingham last year and had a blast.

I can help you with your 12v when I get back to town.( I'm stuck in San Diego right now[verymad]) I've got all the tools to do your pump timing, valve springs, Gov-springs, delivery-valves and injectors. I can also help you with powder coating your engine parts. Let me know if you need a intake, gauges or other parts for your 12v because I have all kinds of parts in my shop. Make sure you ask John P or myself before you spend any money.

JOHN P and Pete can tell you the kind of work I do.(most of the time John P helps as well as guides me)

Pete

Are you going to be able to stay out in town when you come out to CA or do you have to stay on the base?

Travis:

I am little late getting in here but "Welcome to the Website!";) As Cris, Pete and Shayne have already said, we have a great group of guys in our area and Chapter and like them I would be glad to help you out with anything you need! Maybe when Cris gets back we can all get together in J'Ville one night for dinner or something. Cris is THE MAN around here for any of your parts needs and he does a GREAT job of powdercoating too!

Anyway, welcome aboard, glad to have you with us!

You are a lucky man, you are in the mix with some very good folks. I've known some of them for better than 10 years.

Be warned tho. This could be hard on your wallet.
The hardest thing is for you to decide if you want to build the truck for towing heavy stuff and for playing ie racing, sled pulling or being a dyno king.[nonono]:o:o

I lived in Hubert N C for almost 15 years, I retired after 21 years in the corps and then moved down here to Fl.

Welcome to the CTD family.
If no one has told you one of the best places to get your filters and stuff is Geno'sGarage.com
I have been buying stuff from there for many years now.

Take care
See Ya
