need help with clutches
I have a 06 3500 DRW6spd (GV56 trans i think) with a bully dog tripple dog i have it on extreme and i need a clutch its slipping hard in the top of 3rd-5th. I am looking for a much better clutch that will handle like 1500-2000ft lbs. I am putting 100hp injectors in also so I am going to need 1. So what do other 6spd drivers recomend?

1500-2000 ftlbs?
You will need a lot more than 100 horse injectors to reach that.
Tell us exactly what the truck is used for/how its driven.
And how much power you expect to make.
I would think that a south bend ofe would work for you, if not an fe should and if that aint enough clutch you gotta go dual disk.

just put in the sb 3600 and it has a lot of pedal pressure but what ur thinking about I would not get a single disk. A dual will last much longer and u can put anything on it. If ur gonna do it do it right the first time as i was always taught. i know people that have the ofe and the fe and they dont really like it. fe u cannot back a trailer.......just my .02 good luck

I have a sb 3600 in my truck, and it's my daily driver (except not now because the transmission is out of it). I pull trailers with it, drag race it, and just generally act the fool. I get the feeling that if I hopped up the engine enough, the truck would be a smoldering wreck, all twisted up-but the clutch would still be there, not slipping at all. NEVER has it given even the SLIGHTEST hint that it wants to slip when I let off the pedal. This includes flatfoot 3500 rpm gradual launches, the kind that send most single disk clutches to heaven in short order. To overcome turbo lag I'll sometimes just floor it and let it rev against the limiter. Then, I walk it out and gradually engage the clutch as traction permits. Sheer torture on most clutches, no problem at all with this one.

If that truck has 4.10 gears and a G56, you can hang up drag racing. With the gear ratios of the 6th gear and the 4.10 together, you will only be able to achieve about 80-85 MPH before the engine ECU quits fueling due to rpms!
If you paid the $50.00 for 4.10 gears, you got suckered. They dont offer that ratio with the cummins/6spd combo. Sorry.
Maybe some aftermarket shop installed them? Did the dealer have them do it?

3505, you said you put in the 3600, was that in your truck? Did you do the hydrolic upgrade? Was it harder than a single disk? Have you towed with it? What about price?
DmaxEater, I agree. Have you ordered your clutch yet?

gus at farmboys diesel shop rigged me up and helped me install it. I wouldnt think its much harder than a single. same process just an extra disk. heavy though 105lbs! its not too bad just getting that 400lb tranny down is the tricky one. it is my truck. hydraulics yes 200$, clutch 1700$. expensive but its worth it. Havnt towed yet just did it yesterday but it WILL NOT slip.

Is the 3600 a towing clutch?
As in general pullin, racin, everyday drivin, and still be able to back up a trailer?
I really dont want to spend the extra 1k for a dual disk as I think an ofe will suit me fine, but you guys sure are a bad influence.
