Must Cover Seats!

The darn kids are killin' me! I told the wife that there will be NO discussion on this matter. I am getting covers!! She wears the pants in the family so I was a little nervous to say the least.

Costco still the cheapest place for the Coverkings?

I'm having a bit of trouble picking the right covers on the site. A little confusing. The part that is confusing me is the top or bottom console choices. What top or bottom console?

I'm attaching some pics for a little help from you guys who have already ordered them. Thanks for the help!

Does you seat pad in the middle front open? That would be the bottom console.

Don't you have the "YES" fabric? I thought that was stain resistant?

Yup. There is the bottom console. Now is makes sense.

"Resistant" is the key word here. Greasy McDonald's hand prints are hard to get rid of.

One of my older kids rolled a Ketchup covered hotdog all the way down the seat once and that came out pretty well. I did as the YES fabric directions said and it seemed to come out. The only problem is that it seems when more dirt (from dirt covered baseball pants and shirts) come into contact with some "cleaned" areas, those areas tend to show up again.

Only other question is which color best matches our interior? The gray or the charcoal?

I do, 3 actually 10, 8, & 3...That's why I have Black Wet Okole, but my truck is pre YES fabrics. Sounds like YES doesn't help too much, huh?

I figured when the dogs and grandkids got through 'cruddin' up the seats and I could no longer bear the disgusting dirty/stained condition it would be the perfect excuse to get leather replacements.

I scotch guarded my seats several times before I let anyone in the truck, they actually have taken a lot more than I thought they would have. They still look really good and I have only cleaned them a couple times, scotch guarding them again after cleaning.

No YES fabric in the 2006's, water stains them.

Whoa....that's not good. You've had yours 2 years or so? I was this close
[<----->] to ordering them today. Maybe a good thing I didn't.

I keep my truck outside year round at this point. I'm hoping to build a pole barn next year to keep it in since I'm planning on keeping the truck for many many years......or until it blows up I'm sure that will help the longevity of the covers.

I realize nothing lasts forever, but I'd hope they would last a little longer than that (color wise).

Let's hear from some other CK owners. How they lasting for you other guys?
