I will tell you what i know. I just recently put the evil twin setup on my truck and after getting my bugs worked out have no problem with making 23000 to 25000psi. Last year at the truck pull i was draining the rail with crazylarry and vanaaken stacked. This year with kit installed, NO PROBLEM. The only thing holding me back is stock injectors. Duals is the way to go. And as far as extreme egt's, i doubt that is causing them since the less fuel that you have the less egt's you can have, if thats what you are saying. GET THE DUAL CP3'S. Its a great investment, and its working half as hard to keep up with the demand. Good luck.

but i thought if the rail pressure wasnt were it should be it can cause the fuel to not atomiz (spelling) right and make the egts go up

Maybe.
Yeah thats a good point. But would 20000psi and 24000psi (just for example) make that much difference in atomization? Enough to cause extreme egt's? I thought extreme egt's were due to not enough air or too much fuel or both.

I have stock injectors and aurora 2000 and last weekend at truck pull i pegged 1600 like it wont nothing. I ran like 150' at 1300-1400 at 3/4 throttle and then floored it it pegged 1600 so fast it scared me, but i just kept it there. I would like to know what it would have been running at but will never know so i am thinking about getting water kit. Maybe you should do the same. Just an idea. By the way what is extreme egt's to you and under what kind of load?

It makes for a lean mixture of fuel vs air, cylinder temps will increase with this. Dual Pumps or even a stg 3 would work for your needs.
Think about a carburetor and its function, if you lean it out too much it will overheat and if you richen too much it will overheat. You want there to be a harmonous balance between air and fuel.

The Air fuel ratio. If you have the air to support it, but not the fuel, which also lubricates the cylinder walls, it will generate heat in the cylinder. He is most likely running out of CP3 which in turn will be draining the rail (close to it)

Are you pressure fooling with the Smarty? If so what level...
While I cannot fine much info on the ISB in the Dodge, other ISB's or QSB's run in the 20100-21750 range max... so you may not be draining the rail if your not trying for more...

Hey bud, sorrry I missed your call, I passed out this evening, two beers and I was out, Jesus, I am getting old. Like we talked about I am sure you need to maintain at least 25 g to maximize performance. I think with more adequate rail p. and more air (66) things will be better. You still may have some egt issues at WOT though, I am not sure. I will talk to you tomorrow. Jay

Do you know what you peak at, if your peak isn't over 20 or 21K then maybe your CP3 is getting weak. I can hit 26.1 to 26.5k with my stock CP3 but it won't stay there because I am draining the rail. I've watched my rail pressure drop all the way down to 9k and not recover untill I let off.
