HI ALL,
WELL, CHECKED MY WHOLE FUEL SYSTEM OUT TO MAKE SURE THERE WERE NO LEAKS AND WAS NOT SUCKING AIR. I FILLED THE TANK WITH NEW FUEL AND PUT IN SOME LUCAS ADDITIVE. TRUCK IS STILL MISSING INTERMITTEDLY WHEN UNDER A LOAD. I HAVE PUT ABOUT 50 MILES ON THE TRUCK SINCE PURGING THE SYSTEM OF GASOLINE. COULD THERE BE SOME SOMEWHERE IN THE SYSTEM STILL, OR HAVE I DONE SOME DAMAGE TO SOMETHING. I DON'T KNOW HOW HAVING A 50/50 MIX OF GAS AND DIESEL COULD DAMAGE A LIFT PUMP. IF ANYONE HAS SOME INSIGHT TO MY PROBLEM, PLEASE FILL ME IN. I AM SUPPOSED TO LEAVE ON A TRIP TO THE EAST COAST THIS NEXT WEEK AND I NEED TO GET THIS TRUCK LINED OUT. THANX TO YOU ALL!!!!

 

like i said in your other post i dont think you ran it enough to get rid of gas completly

 

Drive it more. If it gets better, great. If it gets worse, park it, then troubleshoot stuff. You may have to take out the pump and injectors and get them run on a stand to verify anything wrong. You DID get a pint or quart of 2 stroke oil, didnt you? Or a whole big jug of Power Service, et al?

I bought a very nice $5k 1st gen for $1200 because the previous owner loaned it out to his 'friend' which filled it with gas, taking out the injection pump. Gas isn't too kind on injection pumps and injectors. You're probly looking at an injection pump rebuild and possibly injector upgrade or rework, sorry.
