Looking for Pics of TALL CB Antenna's

Need your help guys. I'm looking for pics of trucks with 4' and taller cb antenna's. Usually when you get a cb antenna you get them mounted directly to the bed, when I was in high school one guy had his mounted on some sort of spring mount. The spring was loose enough to let them flop around like a old school metal whip aerial. If anyone knows what i'm talking about could you please let me know where to buy the "spring" mounts.

Thanks For The Help!!!

I have a 6' Wilson silverload on a firestick extended stake mount. No problems.

Radio shack might still carry the springs.

You could also check www.firestik.com, that's where I got my skinny springs, not sure if they have the old school fat springs or not.

Check my album, I have a couple pics showing my antennas with springs.

I will get pictures of mine tommorow. I have a 4' firestick mounted in the fender ( using a custom modified OEM am/fm mount) on the drivers side. I then added a small fiberglass whip to the original AM/FM antenna. This gives me two 4' antennas in the fenders, looks sweet.

Buckshot:

That looks like what I am going to try and do. How did you mount the antenna to the bed rail? I have found a couple of brackets that look like they may work, but nothing that is specfically for that location.

Thanks!

Matt

My Wilson came with a 90 deg aluminum bracket and bolts (stainless). I just centered it, drilled the 4 mounting holes, and 1 hole on top for the cable. If your having trouble finding a bracket, try a truck stop. I bought my set-up, antenna and cb from a Peterbilt repair shop.

I was at Radio Shack the other day, and noticed they still had the springs for antennas. Try a truck stop as well. A lot of them sell CB stuff (Love's, T/A, etc).
FWIW, I mounted my scanner and CB antennas on the sides of my cross over toolbox. Both are 4 foot. I used a Firestik bracket and my own backing plate.
