A little tranny help

Hey gang....long time no post.
Finally getting around to fixing the tranny in my first gen and I have one little question......How do you get the little white plug out of the case that has the wires running under the valve body (Lockup/overdrive?)...?

The connector unplugs from the outside, the connector is "part of " the valve body and will come down with the valve body.

What about where it exits the transmission case?
Does it just push back into the case?
Valve body is loose and these two wires are the only thing keeping it in there.
Do I take out the three screws that hold it to the valve body OR is there a way to release it from the case?
