Lifted with vibrations?

I'm looking at getting the rock krawler 8" coilover kit and running 38x15.5 MTZs, but i've heard that you can get driveline vibrations from going 6" or over. Anyone experience this personally? What are the fixes?

Transfer case reindexing ring. It rotates the transfer case so that the angle on the front driveshaft is lessened. I think skyjacker, superlift, and kelderman have them and maybe others. Or you could get a high angle front driveshaft.

High angle driveshafts are big money though, aren't they?
Anyone lift over 6" and experience the vibrations i'm talking about? Even with a 6" lift and spacer stacked?

I am halfway through installing the Rockcrawler kit. Obviously I don't have any vibe experience yet, but I installed a Skyjacker indexing ring to help. I also plan to get a high angle driveshaft once I get the kit done and can take measurements. The ring was pretty cheap and I was quoted a little over 300 shipped for the driveshaft once I am ready, so that's not really that bad. PM me if you have any questions I should be rolling this weekend.

In my own opinion i would go with the driveshaft way before indexing. i had a buddy with a 7 inch lift with the ring and it would leak constanly took it apart numerous times trying to seal it (skyjacker) no problems with new driveshaft except price 300 sounds really cheap. if your trucks a long box or mega you have to put a carrier spacer in im running a superlift 6 with one inch spacers with no front issues hope this helps

Diggity, did your buddy run the adapter with the indexing ring? I know that some people have just ordered the ring itself, where mine came with all the hardware including an adapter that sits between the t-case and tranny seals, that makes up for the space the ring makes, and helps hold the seals in place. Could be wrong, but it may be worth a shot. Mine hasn't been in for long, but no signs of leaking yet.

Yeah definately keep me updated. I'm interested to see how you will like the kit. I'm thinking I may go the cheaper route and just do a 6" and add spacers on top... we'll see.

EDIT: So you guys figure that the dual cardon driveshaft will cure any vibes? where could i find one?

I would definitely use at least a 1" carrier bearing spacer if you have a long-bed (2-piece driveshaft).

Pullu2, I believe the ring kit was about $250 shipped. The lift kit is pure beef too. I am getting a hand by a heavy duty mechanic that works on big machines all day and he is pretty impressed by the overbuilt parts. With the long weekend coming up we really should get er done. The guy that I have been working with has been great. I got the lift for $1100 under retail too. I don't want to break any forum rules(prices and shop names) but if you want any info on it shoot me a PM. I will have him send me limit straps and the driveshaft once I can get everything measured at new height.

No vibrations

I am running the 8" Rock Krawler with front coilovers with no driveline vibrations. I have dropped the rear carrier 1 1/4" and will be fabbing some traciton bars. As far as the front drive shaft it is stock and the t case is not indexed.

I had awful vibrations at 70 until I bought a T/C drop bracket. It made the vibration go away but started the driveline shudder. I then dropped the carrier bearing a few inches and it is just about gone. Funny before I installed the drop bracket there wasn't ANY driveline shudder. Good luck.

Drop the carrier bearing almost 1/2 of the total reat lift...IMHO.
