I took my truck to the dealer a week ago for a little wet spot on the right front axle tube. and he said there was mud there and that it just was holding moisture and its ok. well i got under there today and noticed a huge we spot. can anyone tell me what this may be and where exactly its coming from? thanks

ill try to post a pic...

Hard to tell just from the photo but check the level in the front dif. If the shaft seal goes, fluid can/will flow down the tube and look sort of like your picture. See if you can get a mirror in to see if it's comming from the inside of the tube. If not look close and I am sure you will find the source

Good Luck

I agree with the axle seal leak. Park the truck with the left tire up on a block over night and see if there is a big puddle in the morning on the right side.

It's under warranty. Let dodge deal with it. No sense in you wasting your time and money when you can waste theirs.

It's not "powertrain," but it's worth a whirl.

Maybe there's a dog that crawls up under there every night and pees.

It might be. Balljoints aren't supposed to be covered under the extended warranty but my dealer up here just did it.

If they won't cover it, it's not hard just some time, a mess, and a bit of a pain in the but. Get a good shop manual I am sure you can do it. But leave it to them if they will cover it
