KDP fix?
Anyone knows where I might purchase / borrow / hire the jig for doing the KDP fix the easy way (drill, tap and thread a bolt in over it)?
I priced a repair at a local cummins shop and it was about half of what I paid for the truck =(

If you have the ability to jig it, you can tab it. Which I feel is the better of the two,and it is really a easy repair. There were alot of jigs on loan on the TDR site awhile back. Goodluck,Rick

I made a tab like this one
kandgo is right, if you can get in there and use the jig, its just a little farther to pull the cover and make sure it all the way in and not ready to fall out at any second. And you can check the rest of the bolts under the cover and make sure they tight.

KDP fix
Eh, Id rather just thread a bolt in over the pin since theres no oil leaks on the timing cover or anything. It looks like theres a lot of stuff to remove to get to that area also =(
I need to do a new belt anyways.
