Hello all, first of just got to say love that cummins. Now on to the real reason, I am finally getting annoyed with the air bag light and ringer coming on and tach and speedo not working every once in awhile, until i put the winshield wiper on. Then its good for for a few miles (it varies how long) Then it will do it all over again. I am talking about my 98 2500 5 speed standard (2 wheel drive if that matters)
Any help would greatly be appreciated It is starting to really get on my nerves. Soon you will see me on the side of the road like this if this keeps up. Thanks again.

Sounds like you may have a bad ground under the dash.
Can't tell you where they all are but can tell you there are several of them.
That's where the factory service manual specific to your year is essential. One of the cheapos manuals is useless.
One ground is even behind the gauge cluster, you have to pull it out to get at it.

If it's a ground issue, maybe trying running some supplemental ground wires to various metal locations beneath the dash to help boost it.
