Issues with DTT trans??

Has anyone else had issues with DTT trans? A friend and I ordered 4k worth of parts from them. Rebuild kits billet shafts and a converter to keep it short.... Was told 2 weeks on the ETA of all parts. After a little over a month the kits and valve bodys are here and have been for almost 2 weeks but STILL no shaft or converter. Numerous calls have been made for a tracking # as they said it went out UPS the same time the other parts did but was coming freight so it would be a few days behind. When we call the lady says she has to find the tracking # and will call back THE SAME DAY.. this has happened a few times now and still no calls back or tracking # after multiple phone calls.... Its getting ridiculous!! Wondering what i should do at this point??

Ok so finally got some answers. There was a shipping mix up to keep it short. Now we have a tracking # FINALLY. But still please don't tell me it is going to be 2 weeks and it take almost 2 months.... I understand things take a little longer then expected, i tune full scale gas cars for a living i am well aware on how this all works... But dang.... I REALLY hope this converter etc is was worth the wait and issues.

I hope you fare better than I did. In the future, I personally advise that everyone stay away from DTT. You wouldn't believe me if I told you have many people have come out of the woodwork with issues like yours and mine, and contacted me for info on dtt since my post... It is scary to see how many people are getting screwed around by them. I really hope you get your parts with no further issues.

Wow your lucky you got an answer, i would carefully check everything you recieve from them...DTT is ridiculous, I got screwed by them too.. I had a whole thread going on cummins forum exposing them, I had so much proof and pictures and then one day, thread deleted... I have a case against them with the Canadian BBB.. Waiting see what happens, I don't think they can last longer as a business especially the way they do things...

I hope rev max will do you right... I was going to buy my parts from them, then I found out that they started to supply DTT. That was all I needed to change my mind..

A good friend of mine has done a lot of business with Frank at Rev Max and he said he has always shipped things right out on time and has the best customer service he has delt with in the diesel world.

Blevins:

Sorry to hear about the problems you having with DTT! But, I am hearing this more and more from diesel truck owners all across the U.S. and Canada.
Jayme (JKM) has given his experiences with them in that thread DTR Member
slevhansen linked up here for you.

This is the same company that said the ATS Triple-Lok Converter would not work and wanted to put them out of business! Now THEY can't even fill their own orders and ship product correctly!! Pretty sorry if you ask me....

Started on the install of the converter, valve body with other parts such as solenoids and a 2nd apply band etc yesterday and are going to finish it up today. I have a good friend of mine that is really good with these things on the job. Im a tuner for gasoline cars and am familiar with doing a little manual trans work but im no auto tranny guy by any means... but my buddy is one hell of a tranny guy so i have 100% faith in his ability to make things right. I will keep you all updated on how it does. I REALLY hope after all this mess and run around at least the parts that took almost 2 months to get here when i was told 2 weeks at least work as they should.

Funny you mention it, the thread I had exposing DTT on cummins forum also disappeared. Stefan is obviously buddies with someone there ( as well as being a site sponsor!) and is getting them to cover up the fact that he is a theif. I ordered a converter from DTT, but what I got was a re boxed Diesel Performance Converters unit...

Well guys got the parts in last night and drove around easy last night and today just to make sure things were ok. This evening i put the parts to the test and i must say im very impressed so far! My tranny guy said the valve body parts are some of the best he has seen and was very impressed with them but was just really disappointed in the customer service. The truck shifts perfectly and now lays the power down like it should!

Like i said in my earlier post im not 100% sure if Frank at rev max did my converter or not but whoever did it did a great job! My tranny guy says hes 99% sure rev max did it as it came from the same shipping hub that parts from rev max/Frank ships out of. But of course we cant be sure unless he calls Frank and ask to verify.

The last few days we have called we have got right through and they have been really helpful with great customer service all the sudden... even called my trans guy to see if the parts arrived, when before we would call and be told we were gonna get a call right back and days would go buy so we would have to call until we got an answer just to get the run around... Also gave us the guys personal cell phone if we had any questions about the valve body kit. We actually called to clarify some things in the instructions and the guy answered the phone right away was very nice and helpful.... BUT that still doesn't make up for the big ol run around when we had ordered over 4K worth of parts that were MIA!! If they could get there customer service together i would have been much much happier with my overall experience and would be ordering more parts in the future. Seems they make/sell some very nice products they just need to get there stuff together as far as orders and overall customer service.

JKM, your not the first person to tell me that Stephan has a buddy on the forum to take down threads exposing them.. I think it a shame that cummins forum would stoop to DTT's level and help them get away with things like this.. I mean I understand that they need sponsorship to keep things running, but deleting threads with proof is outrageous. I mean their is a thread on there right now with some guy bashing sun coast, he has absolutely no proof, but it still there the last time I checked...

Blevins, I'm glad your trans is running good. Let me tell you why You waited so long for the parts. Simply because DTT didn't have anything to send out at the time you paid for everything. That's why you got the run around..That explanation you got is typical, they were just trying to stall and buy some extra time... Also from my experiences with DTT, I now know that they do not make ANYTHING, they just have their vendors where they buy from and resell to you with a small mark up, they are simply the middle man. Im sure you know with transmissions you don't want to be dealing with the middle man, just go direct to the supplier/builder...I bet if you call with issues their customer service will go down the drain again and you'll start getting the run around.

Because DTT screwed me, i need a new transmission. I just purchase all parts from Garmon and let me say they have everything in stock. They had to build my valve body but still managed to ship within days of me paying, that's good customer service.
