Hot Shot driving??

For all of yall hot shots out what do yall think about it? I was wonderin because i am thinking about doing it and i was just wonderin what all to expect if i do decide to go through with it. Thanks

Not a hotshot driver, but we use them regularly.
Expect all the DOT rules for OTR semis.
Expect companies to ask for proof of insureance before they load you.
Expect them to call at midnight and want the load 500 miles away on an oil rig with GPS coordinances by 6 am.

Fronty Owner is correct. I hotshot for a company about 20 miles from me. They are very good to work for and very flexible around my schedule. They pay me $2.00 a mile both directions plus hotel, meals, and $100.00 a day. DOT has never bothered with me, I cross the scales and get a green light every time. All the DOT rules do apply just like a big rig. The only thing that I do not need is a CDL.
